BLIND RIVER - On Mar. 29, 2017, shortly after 9 p.m., members of the East Algoma Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint of a westbound tractor trailer driving erratically on Highway 17, west of the Town of Blind River.
A short time later, police observed the westbound tractor trailer within the town limits and a traffic stop was initiated. The investigation determined there were several violations with the driver's daily log and the inspection of the transport.
As a result, Andrew Noseworthy, 47 years of age from Oshawa, Ontario, was issued three provincial offence notices and charged with:
- Fail to properly affix current annual inspection sticker-commercial vehicle, contrary to section 8(4)(c) the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) Ontario Regulation 611;
- Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle, contrary to section 7(5)(a) of the HTA; and
- Fail to maintain log, contrary to section 190(3) of the HTA.
