Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the theft of a pontoon boat from a Desbarats' dealership.
Police say the $15,000 2007 Apex Qwest 17' 2" pontoon boat was stolen sometime between Oct. 13, 2020 and May 17, 2021.

On May 17, 2021, members from the East Algoma Detachment from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a theft of a pontoon boat from a local boat dealership property on Highway 17 in the Town of Desbarats.
Investigation determined, the theft occurred sometime between October 13, 2020 and May 17, 2021. The owner had stored a 2007 Apex Qwest 17' 2" pontoon boat bearing serial number APX11512F607 with Hull Identification Number (HIN) ON4110170.
Attached to the pontoon was a 2006 black Mercury 40 horsepower four stroke outboard motor bearing serial number 1B270418. The pontoon boat was sitting on a 2007 Genesis trailer bearing serial number 5KYMB2011561001300. Estimated value of the property stolen is over $15,000.
