Drug trafficking charges have been laid following a search warrant at a Blind River residence, OPP say.
In a press release issued today, OPP said that on June 18 shortly after 4 p.m., officers seized a quantity of drugs from a residence on Archambeault Street in Blind River.
Officers seized $250 worth of suspected crack cocaine, oxycodone, and drug paraphernalia, in addition to over $1,600 in Canadian cash.
As a result of the investigation, Michel Fortin, 58 from Blind River, faces charges of possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), possession of a schedule 1 substance (methamphetamine), possession of a schedule 1 substance (other drugs) and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on Aug. 6.
