On Thursday, officers with the Anishinabek Police Service Sagamok Detachment were dispatched to an unwanted persons call.
The two unwanted men left before police arrived, but officers located them a short time later, APS said in a social media post.
“As officers approached, one of the males fled on foot into a wooded area.
“A search by police located the male hiding behind a tree where he was placed under arrest.”
While searching the man, a large amount of currency was located and a short distance away a discarded bag containing various suspected drugs was discovered and seized by police.
As a result of this investigation Micah Harry, 18, of Toronto was charged with the following offences:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Substance x 6
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
Harry was held for a bail hearing.
Davey Joe Keysis, 35, of Sagamok was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a substance (simple possession)
At the time of this incident, there was also an arrest warrant for Keysis. As a result, he was held for a bail hearing.
None of the accusations have been tested in court and both of the accused are considered innocent unless proven guilty.
