REPLAY: On the third day of Christmas, we surprise ‘The Bread Angel’

We kneaded to surprise Kathy to thank her for her commitment to helping feed those in need in our community

Kathy is a selfless, longtime volunteer in our community who dedicates her time (and baking skills) to those in need.

She is passionate about making Sault Ste. Marie a better place through supporting many local charities and when she saw a need with people experiencing food insecurity, she stepped up.

The 81-year-old great-grandmother has been baking fresh bread for SOYA every week for three years now and has no plans of slowing down.

On today’s 12 Days of Christmas, we deliver some of the same joy to Kathy that she so generously shares with our community each day.

A big thank you to our valued sponsors, Pino’s Get Fresh, Just Junk and Tagona Press, for making this Random Act of Kindness possible.

Next year marks our 12th year of 12 Days of Christmas Random Acts of Kindness surprises. Do you want to help us give back through this program? Email us at randomacts@sootoday.com.
