Gabi, a cancer survivor and former professor, is a true community giver.
She worked at Sault College for 35 years before retiring during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
During her time at the college, she was the head organizer of Days for Girls, putting together reusable period packs for women in impoverished places around the world and organizing sew-a-thons for those in need.
During the pandemic, Gabi switched gears and organized the sewing of handmade masks for frontline workers.
In an effort to recognize Gabi for her contributions to our community, we surprised her with some special gifts this holiday season.

A big thank you to our generous fellow sponsor OC Beauty for this Random Act of Kindness.
Next year marks our 10th year of 12 Days of Christmas Random Acts of Kindness surprises. To celebrate this milestone, we have a goal of raising $100,000 to brighten the holiday season for deserving community members. Do you want to help us give back through this program? We adapted the 12 Days of Christmas program once again this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Our surprises were filmed weeks ago and all applicable public health protocols were followed.
