What are the biggest challenges your business faces when it comes to hiring, training, and retaining employees?
The Northeastern Ontario 2025 Employee Recruitment, Training and Retention Survey is now open — and your input is needed. This 15-minute survey gives businesses and organizations like yours the opportunity to shape regional workforce strategies and inform future training and employment programs.
Conducted by the four Northeastern Ontario Workforce Planning Boards, including the Algoma Workforce Investment Corporation (AWIC), this survey aims to build a detailed picture of labour market needs across the region.
Don’t miss your chance to have a say. The survey is open until May 31, 2025.
“This survey gives employers a direct voice in shaping the future of our workforce," says Silvia Alves, Executive Director for AWIC, Algoma District. "We know businesses are facing unprecedented challenges. This survey is a critical step in gathering the data we need to advocate for the right training and workforce development strategies. By participating, employers are contributing to a regional understanding of labour force challenges and helping us target meaningful solutions that support growth and sustainability.”
