Since 2017, Superior Staff it has proudly served as Algoma’s only locally based staffing solution dedicated to long-term care and other healthcare organizations. With a strong commitment to innovation and operational efficiency, the company has consistently worked to modernize the outdated and time-consuming process of filling open shifts.

In their search for the ideal solution, they quickly realized that existing tools fell short of meeting the industry's unique demands. That realization led President and Founder Sheri-Ann Morin, in collaboration with Chief Operating Officer Kristy Delavalle, to build something better — a smarter, more adaptable platform.

The result, BookStaff — an intelligent, user-friendly solution designed to revolutionize how unfilled shifts are managed across healthcare settings, and both small to large corporate networks.

“It was inspired by the pain points we experienced working with other software that didn’t fit our business model. Since I couldn’t find exactly what we needed, I decided to bring some innovation to our business by creating my own,” says Sheri-Ann.  

Designed to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce administrative burden, BookStaff allows managers to broadcast open shifts instantly to qualified staff — replacing traditional methods that require employers to manually call staff one by one with automated notifications that save time and reduce errors.

Sheri-Ann stated, “Initially, BookStaff was designed to give us what we needed internally, to invest in ourselves and streamline our business model. The software was developed in a way that others can use it. My hope is that it will simplify staffing for other companies as well.”
