The Algoma Ontario Health Team is hosting an important, free education series this spring.
The Spring 2025 Healthy Aging Education Series is being held at the Rosedale Hub at 90 Chapple Ave., every Tuesday from April 8 to May 20 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. The series is free, and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
“The Healthy Aging Education Series is a set of presentations aimed at all individuals interested in learning more about healthy lifestyle choices, aging with vitality, and strategies to enhance well-being,” said a Health Team spokesperson. She added, “Each week, the sessions will cover a different topic, including healthy aging, physical activity, nutrition, medication safety, mental health, elder abuse and fraud prevention, as well as advanced care planning and caregiver support.”

- Tuesday April 8th - Healthy Aging & Frailty
- Tuesday April 15th - Physical Activity & Staying Fit
- Tuesday April 22nd - Meal Preparation & Healthy Eating
- Tuesday April 29th - Medication Safety
- Tuesday May 6th - Mental Health & Wellbeing
- Tuesday May 13th - Elder Abuse & Fraud
- Tuesday May 20th - Care Planning & Caregiver Support
Seniors in the area are encouraged to sign up for one or more topics by going to this link or alternatively, seniors can just walk in and join in any of the sessions.
