As of Oct. 30, the rules have changed for travel.

Everyone aged 12 and over must be fully vaccinated to board domestic or international flights, and VIA Rail or Rocky Mountaineer trains. However, there is a grace period that runs until Nov. 29 when non-fully vaccinated travellers can show a valid negative COVID-19 molecular (NAAT) test taken within 72 hours of travel.

This type of test can also be used to re-enter Canada if you are within the 72 hours time frame and go across the border to USA.

Those in the Thunder Bay and Sault Ste. Marie area can turn to NorthStream Safety & Rehab for rapid, private COVID-19 testing.

With NAAT test results in as little as 15 minutes and results valid for 72 hours, travellers can do one test as long as their trip brings them back to their starting point or to their final destination within the allotted timeframe.

NorthStream’s NAAT test is just $159, and group rates are offered for 3+ reducing the cost of testing – one of the best prices in Northwestern Ontario.

Travel with confidence knowing that the NAAT is among the most accurate test out there – it can detect the RNA of the coronavirus. It is so sensitive, it will return a highly accurate result even if just a small amount of the RNA is present.

In addition to rapid NAAT tests for all your travel needs, you can also get great prices on NorthStream’s antigen test ($59 and results in as little as 10 minutes), and the PCR test ($349, results in as little as 24 hours).

Contact NorthStream to discuss individual testing or group/company tests for corporations, work camps, crews, field offices and more (group rates will apply for price reduction). NorthStream will also do its best to price match the competition near their locations.

NorthStream also provides a variety of other programs and services based on corporate health and safety.
