COVID-19 won't stop cyclists who want to raise money for ARCH Hospice.
Pandemic restrictions have forced the team at ARCH to change up their popular summer fundraising event, the Great Bucket List Cycle, so that participants can have fun and raise money safely.
The ride will kick off - virtually - on Saturday, Sept. 19 and run until the following Saturday, Sept. 26, allowing participants to meet their kilometre goals throughout the week.
Since the event will take place online, participants can choose where they want to cycle. ARCH recommends getting your kilometres in on St. Joseph Island or the hub trail here in the Sault.
Event organizers will be using Strava, a mobile app for tracking runs and rides, to provide predetermined routes for cyclists, but participants are encouraged to track their ride however they wish.
The important thing is that if you are participating, you share your ride on social media so that ARCH can share your story.
The event will include a gran Fondo with a distance of 100 km.
Not interested in biking for that long? No worries, there are both 70 and 40 km options.
Registration is $1 per km. All proceeds raised support ARCH.

Over the last two years, the Bucket List Cycle has raised over $65,000 for ARCH Hospice.
