Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are looking for the public’s assistance in solving a theft.
On Sunday August 30, 2015 at approximately 4:45 p.m. two males entered the Goulais River Country Store located on Highway 17 North.
One of the males made a small purchase of items and then asked the cashier to exchange some money for smaller denominations.
The male then distracted and confused the cashier and left the store with a large sum of cash.
Video surveillance shows the male to be white, mid to late 40’s wearing a blue long sleeve t–shirt, black ball cap, black blue jeans and a having a grey beard.
Meanwhile the second male distracted the other employees in the store.
He is described a dark skin, mid 20’s, wearing an orange t-shirt.
