New Agawa Canyon Tour Train TV spot is the closest thing to experiencing it for yourself.

More and more, travellers are looking for unique getaway experiences.

For years, the Agawa Canyon Tour train has provided people from all across North America with exactly that. Now, with the release of a new television spot, hopeful passengers can gain an equally unique perspective on what it’s actually like to ride these particular rails.

“The new [TV] spot showcases the epic nature of the Agawa Canyon Tour Train,” says Ian McMillan, Executive Director for Tourism Sault Ste. Marie. “It’s great to see our local tourism partners so invested in this unique attraction, and we’re grateful for their continued support of one of Canada’s most iconic tourism attractions.”

Produced by Lucidia Ltd., Northern Ontario’s largest marketing communications agency, and Village Electric, Northern Ontario’s newest multimedia production studio, the 30-second television commercial utilizes state-of-the-art technology to highlight the train like never before.

Drones were used during the shoot.

These flying cameras are manipulated via remote control, and soar hundreds of feet in the air to capture some truly ‘breathtaking’ scenes.

“We’ve always done our best to try and express just how dramatic the ride can be,” says Jason Thomas, Associate Creative Director at Lucidia. “The drones were a big step in that direction...giving us the ability to fly high above the train and landscapes in a way we’ve never done before.”

The television spot will air in various Canadian markets as well as online. As part of the 2015 Agawa Canyon Tour Train advertising and marketing platform, a new website was also launched last week.

Visitors can watch videos, get more details on the train and its history and book tour train accommodation packages online.

These special two- and three-night packages include train tickets, accommodations and passes to some of the region’s most popular attractions —the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre, the new Heritage Discovery Centre, the Art Gallery of Algoma, the Parks Canada Canal and more.
