There are now four candidates for the two Ward 4 city council seats up for grabs in the Oct. 24 municipal election.
Former Coun. David Celetti filed nomination papers Monday to run again.
Celetti served as Ward 5 councillor from 2003 to 2010.
The city's ward boundaries were redrawn in 2018, and Celetti's now seeking election in Ward 4.
Also filing Ward 4 paperwork on Monday was Marek McLeod, best known for stealing the spotlight during a nationally televised leaders debate held as part of last year's federal election.
McLeod has served as an Indigenous student trustee on Algoma District School Board and as vice-chair of the mayor's youth advisory council; and has worked for Ontario Aboriginal Housing Services and the Assembly of First Nations.
The deadline to file paperwork to run is Aug. 19 at 2 p.m.
