With two well-known local candidates filing nomination papers on Friday. Algoma District School Board now has trustee candidates for every ward in the Oct. 24 local elections.
Sara McCleary, the journalist / fundraiser / activist who ran locally for the New Democratic Party in the 2019 federal election, is running for public school trustee in Ward 4.
Nick Apostle, former commissioner of community Services at City of Sault Ste. Marie, is running in Ward 5.
The deadline to file paperwork to run is Aug. 19 at 2 p.m.
