Sault Ste. Marie's city councillors tend to be pretty good multi-taskers because of all the meetings they need to attend, in addition to their day jobs.
But they won't be expected to attend a city council meeting and vote in a federal election the same day later this month.
Council agreed last night to reschedule its planned meeting on Monday, April 28 to the following day, Tuesday, April 29.
The change was requested by Rachel Tyczinski, city clerk, to "provide members of council, staff, and the public every opportunity to vote on April 28, 2025."
