A 19-year-old is facing impaired driving charges after a single-vehicle collision early Saturday morning.
At around 1 a.m. on Sept. 7, Sault Police responded to Carmen’s Way and Conmee Avenue, where they found a vehicle with “significant damage to its tire” after striking a curb.
Multiple people were inside the vehicle but none were injured, police say.
After the driver identified himself, officers developed grounds to believe he’d been drinking. Multiple breath samples registered above the legal limit, police say.
Conrad Jennings, 19, is charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – Drug and/or Alcohol
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80+)
- Dangerous Operation
He was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled back in court on Oct. 7, 2024.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and Jennings is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
