Additional charges laid in Project Kentucky investigation

Sault Ste. Marie Police have charged an additional person in relation to a five-month drug trafficking investigation.

On Wednesday, police announced the joint operation – dubbed Project Kentucky – led to the seizure of an estimated $317,451 in illicit substances.

In addition, while executing ten search warrants, officials located three rifles, two loaded handguns, one revolver, two replica handguns and a pair of brass knuckles, along with $16,415 in Canadian currency.

Twenty-two people faced a combined 225 charges.

Now a 23rd person has been arrested in relation to Project Kentucky.

Riley Bisson-Miller, 25, is charged with:

  • Traffick in Schedule I Substance (Cocaine) x2
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5,000 x2
  • Failure to Comply with Release Order – Other Than to Attend Court x2

None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
