A news release issued today reports that Sean Seguin was arrested after officers responded to an incident of theft that occurred downtown on Saturday evening.
The 43-year-old is alleged to have smashed windows to gain entry at a business located in the 100 block of Queen Street East and stole approximately $600 worth of merchandise.
Seguin was located as short time later by investigating officers.

On April 9, 2022, officers with Patrol Services charged 43-year-old Sean Seguin with break and enter.
Around 8:26 p.m., officers responded to reports of a man damaging windows of a business in the 0-100 block of Queen Street East, entering the business, and leaving with stolen items.
Officers located a man matching the description provided around 8:31 p.m. near the intersection of Queen Street West and Andrew Street with items with price tags on them. He was arrested and identified as the accused. A subsequent search found him to be in possession of approximately $600 in items stolen from the business. The estimated damage to the business is $500.
He is charged with:
• break and enter
• theft under $5,000
• mischief under $5,000
• possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
• breach of probation – fail to keep the peace and be of good behaviour
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
