A Dryden, Ont., man is facing multiple charges — including impaired driving — after allegedly smashing his car two separate times downtown last night.
At around midnight, Sault Ste. Marie police officers responded to a report of a vehicle driving erratically on St. George’s Ave. Police later located a vehicle matching the description in a parking lot in the 400 block of Pim St.
A man standing next to the vehicle appeared to be intoxicated. Placed under arrest, he refused to provide a breath sample.
Upon further investigation, police say the driver had previously struck a sign on St. George’s Ave. — and another vehicle in the Pim St. parking lot.
Jeremy Titze, 43, has been charged with impaired driving, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and failure or refusal to comply with a demand.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to be back in court on Dec. 19.
