Scott Tessier was arrested in relation to a break and enter investigation that took place early this morning on Great Northern Road, states a news release from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.
At the time of his arrest, the 30-year-old was found in possession of break-in tools as well as suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl, police say.

On Feb. 17, 2022, officers with Patrol Services charged 30-year-old Scott Tessier with possession of break-in tools.
Around 2 a.m., officers observed a man leaving the area of a business in the 0-100 block of Great Northern Road with a duffle bag. Officers approached the man and identified him as the accused. Further investigation determined the accused is bound by a release order to remain in his residence and he was arrested.
A subsequent search found him to be in possession of a pry bar, bolt cutters, a quantity of copper, approximately .8 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine and approximately 5.77 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl.
He is charged with
• possession of break in tools
• fail to comply with a release order
• possession of a controlled substance x2
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
