Bail Court Appearance Arrests

Male Arrested for Breaking into Vehicle in Downtown Area

21 year-old Troy Bozowskyi of #2-814 Wellington Street East was arrested on the 22nd of April at 9:01 pm on Brock Street and charged with one count of mischief, one count of theft under $5,000.00 and one count of possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that on the 22nd of April at approximately 8:45 pm the accused broke into a Pontiac van that was parked in the 700 block of Queen Street East and stole some change.

Female Arrested on Outstanding Warrant

35 year-old Karen Trimble of #26-79 Spruce Street was arrested on outstanding warrants yesterday at 4:45 pm in Thessalon and charged with one count of fail to appear court. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear in court on the 26th of October 2009 in relation to theft and breach of probation related charges.

Domestic Related Arrest

A 25 year-old male was arrested around 12 am on the 23rd of April at an east end residence and charged with one count of assault, one count of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, one count of assault with a weapon and one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that on the 17th of April the accused assaulted his girlfriend and held a knife to her throat. The victim received non-lifer threatening injuries as a result. At the time of the incident, he was on a recognizance release order to keep the peace and be good.

Impaired Driving Arrest

26 year-old Raymond Vallee of #504-627 Macdonald Avenue was arrested on Lake Street at 1:54 am this morning and charged with one count of impaired driving, one count of consume over the legal limit and one count of fail to remain at the scene of an accident. It is alleged that at 1:43 am this morning the accused was operating his vehicle northbound on North Street and when making a turn onto Morrison Avenue his 2001 Hyundai struck a GMC Pickup truck that was parked on the side of the roadway. The accused immediately drove away from the scene and he a d his severely damaged vehicle were was located a short time later on Lake Street and at the time he was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He is to appear in court on the 31st of May.

Male Arrested for Assaulting Two Persons at House Party

28 year-old Jeffrey Jolin of 26 Blucher Street was arrested on the 22nd of April at 9:52 pm at his residence and charged with one count of assault and one count of assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 22nd of April at 8:45 pm the accused was at a party at a west end residence, got into a verbal argument with another male guest, and assaulted him. A female resident that attempted to intervene was also assaulted by the accused. The male victim had to be taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The accused is to appear in court on the 31st of May.

Shoplifting Arrests

46 year-old George Desmoulin of 580 King Street in Pic-Movert Ontario was arrested on the 22nd of April at 4:28 pm at the Station Mall and charged with one count of theft under $5,000. 00. He allegedly attended at Sears and stole a watch.

18 year-old Craig Conventry and 18 year-old Dustin Cyr, both of 63 Anita Boulevard were arrested at 9:55 pm at Wal-Mart and charged with one count each of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that the two accused attended at the store last evening and stole some items. They were apprehended by store security and held for police. They are to appear in court on the 31st of May.

A 15 year-old female youth was arrested on the 22nd of April at 12:00 pm at the Station Mall and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that she attended at Zellers and stole some candy. She is to appear in the 1st of June.
