VICTIM FOLLOWED 50-year-old Gordon Sykes was arrested yesterday afternoon on charges of Breach of Recognizance and Criminal Harassment. It is alleged that Mr. Sykes was continuously following the complainant.

50-year-old Gordon Sykes was arrested yesterday afternoon on charges of Breach of Recognizance and Criminal Harassment. It is alleged that Mr. Sykes was continuously following the complainant. The victim advised police that the accused was seen near his home, his place of work and other locations throughout the city. The accused will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 a.m.


BREAK & ENTERS
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Services is, at present, investigating these five new break and enter reports:

Culprits gained entry to a residence in the 100 block of Sutton Pl. It was determined that the point of entry was an unlocked rear patio door.

A rock was used to break a rear door window at a residence in the 100 block of Bishop’s Court. It is not known, at this time, what was stolen at either of the above homes.

Early yesterday afternoon the Out of Spite Clothing Store at 132 Gore St was broken into and a quantity of clothing was stolen.

A VCR was stolen from a break-in to an apartment in the 500 block of Cathcart St. The thieves used a prying tool, on the front door, to gain entry.

A resident of the 800 block of North St. came home, at approx. 11:00 PM, to discover that someone had broken into their home. It is believed that the culprits heard the victim entering the house and fled out the rear door. A quantity of jewelry, electronics and alcohol was stolen. The thieves left several other items in the house in their haste to escape.

Anyone seeing any suspicious persons at or near any of the above entries is asked to call the City Police or Crimestoppers.
