Domestic Related Arrests:

1) A 47 year-old male was arrested around 4:02 am this morning and charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm , one count of mischief, one count of threaten death or bodily harm, one count of possession of a weapon for purpose dangerous to the public and one count of breach of recognizance. . It is alleged that just before 1 am this morning city police received a call regarding a female that had been assaulted and threatened by her boyfriend at her east end residence. The victim was able to leave the residence and call police. Police learned further that the accused was in possession of a knife and hammer and went they went to arrest him, he refused to put the weapons down and barricaded himself inside the home. The Emergency Services Unit attended on scene and after approximately three hours and some negotiation, the accused was arrested without further incident. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result of being punched and choked during the incident. Further, the accused was under the influence of alcohol at the time and was on court recognizance conditions not to consume any alcohol. The accused is being held in custody and will appear in bail court this morning.

2) A 46 year-old male was arrested on the 17th of September at 9:30 pm at his residence and charged with one count of sexual assault, one count of assault, one count of assault with a weapon and one count of mischief. It is alleged that on the 16th of September around 11:30m pm the accused got into a verbal argument with his common law partner at their residence, assaulted her, sexually assaulted her, held a knife to her and damaged a door in the residence.

3) A 25 year-old male was arrested on the 17th of September at 10:30 at the city police station and charged with one count of breach of probation after he allegedly attended at his ex-girlfriend’s residence on the 21st of August. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Sexual Assaulted Arrest:

26 year-old George Coe of 247 Doncaster Road was arrested on the 17th of September at 6:02 pm at the city police station and charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual interference. It is alleged that on the 12th of September while at a gathering at a residence, the accused touched two females under the age of 16, in an inappropriate manner. The accused and the victims are known to each other. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Male Shoplifter Arrested:

28 year-old Terrance Saunders of #4-110 Wilding Avenue was arrested on the 17th of September at 8:10 pm on Dennis Street and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 17th of September at approximately 7:55 pm the accused attended at the Hollywood Salon in the Station Mall and stole some merchandise. He is to appear in court on the 19th of October.
