A 22-year-old was arrested yesterday morning for allegedly hitting a dog with a skateboard near a west-end intersection.
At around 9 a.m. on April 18, someone phoned 911 to report a person kicking, punching and hitting a dog with a skateboard in the neighbourhood of Wellington Street West and Carmen’s Way.
Officers arrested the suspect and seized the dog, which was brought to a local humane society.
Robert Crack is charged with one count each of cruelty to animals and failing to comply with a probation order.
He was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled back in court on June 17.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and Crack is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
