A 27-year-old man is facing charges of assault and uttering threats after Sault police were called to a downtown business last night.
When officers arrived at the Foster Drive address at around 11 p.m., they say they observed a person “walking away from the area quickly.”
“Further investigation revealed the accused had approached the victim unprovoked, threatened them, and attempted to hit them,” says a news release issued this morning by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.
Along with charges of assault and uttering threats, Travis Desrosiers is accused of failing to comply with a probation order.
He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing. None of the allegations against Desrosiers have been tested in court and he is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
