A 43-year-old man is facing charges following a break-in at a Pine Street building.

Police say the incident occurred at around 3 a.m. on Wednesday, when the accused allegedly broke into the building through a window.

Officers were called to the scene shortly before 10 a.m.

An arrest warrant was obtained, and officers located the suspect around 7:50 p.m. while responding to an unrelated call about an unwanted person in the 600 block of Bay Street, police said in a news release.

Justin St. Amour is charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence and five counts of failing to comply with probation orders.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

None of the accusations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
