One person has been arrested after an incident that took place earlier this week, Sault Ste. Marie Police say in a news release issued today.
Police say they responded to a call yesterday of suspicious activity in the 0-100 block of Megginson Drive. When they arrived, they noticed a 2019 Dodge truck, valued at approximately $61,700, which had been stripped for parts, sitting at the accused's residence.
Police discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen last week and arrested the accused.
A further search revealed a stolen bicycle, valued at approximately $850, that was reported stolen yesterday; as well as a motorcycle, valued at approximately $3,200, that was reported stolen on June 16.
As a result, Darren Nocioli, 45, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and theft of a motor vehicle.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 9.
