A 40-year-old man is facing charges of assault with a weapon after Sault Ste. Marie Police received a call about a man threatening a victim with a knife.
On April 4 Patrol Services was dispatched to an emergency call on Albert Street East near Tancred Street, a news release said.
Officers located a person, later identified as the accused, in the backyard of a residence in the 200 block of Albert Street East.
On April 4 James Hache was charged with:
- Assault with a weapon
- Uttering threats
- Failure to comply with probation order – keep the peace and be of good behaviour
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
