On Sept. 19, 2017, officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 31-year-old male from Sault Ste. Marie in relation to a domestic violence incident.
It is alleged that on Sept. 19, the accused engaged in a verbal argument with his girlfriend. The argument escalated and the accused pushed the victim to the ground causing her to hit her head on the ground.
The victim left the area and contacted police. Officers attended and located the accused a short time later. He has been charged with one count of assault and will appear in bail court today.
