A 38-year-old was arrested yesterday for allegedly throwing a hypodermic needle at another person from an upper floor window.
Sault Police were called to a multi-unit residence in the 100 block of Wellington Street East at around 3:50 p.m. on July 2 for a report of an assault.
“An investigation revealed the accused had thrown a hypodermic needle at a victim from an upstairs window after an argument,” says a news release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. “The victim did not sustain physical injuries. The accused was arrested.”
Lance Walker is charged with one count of assault with a weapon.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled back in court on Sept. 9.
The allegation has not been tested in court and Walker is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
