Three males to appear in bail court: 1) On August 15th city police arrested a 43-year-old male and charged him with three counts of assault.
Three males to appear in bail court:

1) On August 15th city police arrested a 43-year-old male and charged him with three counts of assault. It is alleged that between June 14th and Aug 4th the accused assaulted his common-law wife on three different occasions. The victim did not require medical attention.

2) On August 14th city police attended the downtown area and arrested 49-year-old Donald Levesque, of 205 Wellington St. E. and charged with one count of threatening, one count of mischief and two counts of assault. It is alleged that on Aug 14th at approx. 6:20 pm the accused assaulted a neighbour and her son and also damaged their residence. It is unknown why the accused assaulted the victims.

3) On Sunday Aug.16th at approx. 10:00 am city police attended at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre and arrested a 19-year-old male on charges of possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation, It is alleged that the accused had jewelry and clothing items in his possession that had been reported stolen on Aug 14th . Charged is Andre Cormier, age 19 of no fixed address.

Two males arrested for break and enter:

On Sunday Aug 16th at approx. 8:30 pm city police arrested two males and charged each of then with one count of break and enter and one count of mischief. It is alleged that at approx. 6:30 pm the accused males attended at a residence in the 100 block of St. George’s Ave and broken into the residence. It is further alleged that while at the residence the accused damaged property inside the home. The accused then drove off in a vehicle and were subsequently located by police. Charged are:
1. Adam Lambert, age 24, of 25 St. Andrew’s Terr.
2. Cameron Ayerst, age 24, of 567 Cathcart St.
They will be appearing in court on Sept 21st at 9:00 am.

Male arrested for assault:

On Friday Aug 14th at approx. 6:00 am city police arrested a 25-year-old male and charged him with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his ex-girlfriend earlier in the morning. Victim did not require medical attention. The accused will be appearing in court on Sept 16th at 9:00 am.

Property Crimes:

Break and Enters:


Garages were entered in the following locations:
The 200 block of Hampton Rd. – Power tools were reported stolen.
The 1100 and 1800 blocks of Carpin Beach Rd. – An ATV was stolen.
The1800 block of Third Line W – An ATV was stolen.
The 300 block of McGregor Ave- various household items taken.
An apartment in the 600 block of Second Line W. was entered – electronics were stolen.
The 100 block of Nichol Ave – unknown at this time what was taken.
The 100 block of Wellington St. W. – jewelry and electronics were taken.

Mischief:

Vehicles were damaged in the 100 block of Sutton Pl. and the 100 block of Tancred St.
A window was broken in the 100 block of Rossmore Rd.
Windows were broken at the Bank of Nova Scotia in the Station Mall and the Canadian Motor Hotel on Pim St.

Theft:

Bicycles were stolen from residences in the following locations:
The 100 block of Grace St, the 200 block of Old Goulais Bay Rd, the 500 block of Charles St. and the 100 block of Queens Gate Blvd.
A boat and trailer were stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Park Shore Dr.
Vehicles were entered in the 800 block of Old Garden River Rd – electronics were stolen, in the 1000 block of Fifth Line E. - electronics and cash taken and in the 100 block of Alagash Dr. -electronics were taken.
