Youth Charged wtih Robbery & Mischief On Sunday Dec 17th at approx. 11:45 Pm, a 16-year-old youth attended at the City Police station and turned himself in on outstanding charges. It is alleged that on Nov.
Youth Charged wtih Robbery & Mischief

On Sunday Dec 17th at approx. 11:45 Pm, a 16-year-old youth attended at the City Police station and turned himself in on outstanding charges. It is alleged that on Nov. 24th the accused attended at Ubriaco’s Restaurant, located at 357 Trunk Rd. and robbed the establishment with a firearm. It is further alleged that on Saturday Dec 16th the accused committed the offence of Mischief by breaking the glass window at the TD Canada Trust ATM outlet located at 341 Trunk Rd. The accused will be appearing in court on Tuesday Jan 30th on charges of Robbery, Wearing a Disguise while committing an Offence and Mischief.

Man Assaulted by Three Youth

On Friday December 15th at approx. 7:50 Am a male was approached by three male youths and assaulted. The victim was further threatened with bodily harm. The victim suffered facial injuries as a result of the assault. The three suspects were subsequently located and arrested.

A 14-year-old youth is charged with: Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Threatening.

A 16-year-old youth is charged with: Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Threatening and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

A 17-year-old youth is charged with: Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Threatening and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon (flick knife).

The accused will be appearing in Bail Court today and on Tuesday Jan. 30th.

Youth Charged with Breach & Possession

On Dec. 15th at approx. 11:45Pm City Police arrested a 15-year-old youth on charges of Breach of Probation and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. It is alleged that the accused breached his Probation Order by being out past his curfew and having several individually wrapped packages of marihuana on his person. He will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 Am.

Domestic Dispute in West End

On Sat. Dec 16th at approx. 5:50 Pm City Police attended at a west end residence in regards to a domestic complaint. Upon arrival police were informed that the accused, a 37-year-old male assaulted the
27-year-old female, by hitting her with a chair. At this time police arrested the accused and charged him with Assault with a Weapon. After the accused was arrested the female victim threatened to commit bodily harm to the male. As a result she was arrested for Threatening. Both accused will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 Am.

Assault Charges Laid

On Sunday Dec 17th at approx. 8:00 Pm City Police were called to attend at a downtown address in regards to an assault. It is alleged that the accused, a 42-year-old male, assaulted his common-law wife by shoving a kitchen table at her. It is further alleged that the accused struck a 9 year-old child with a chair. As a result the accused was arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon, Assault and Breach of Probation. While being placed in the Police vehicle the accused assaulted one of the officers and threatened the officer. The accused was then further charged with Threatening and Assault Police. He will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 Am. The child was not seriously injured as a result of this assault.

R.I.D.E Results over the Weekend

The O.P.P. and the City Police operated two R.I.D.E. Programs this Thursday and Friday nights. The results are as follows:
- 564 vehicles checked.
- 20 roadside tests administered.
- 8 – 12 hour suspensions issued.
- 2 Impaired Drivers arrested.
- 1 Other Criminal Code arrest.

One of the Impaired Drivers stopped during the R.I.D.E. was 32-year-old Jason Gauthier, of 1717 Lansing Ave. Sudbury. It is alleged that the accused, Gauthier, operated his vehicle on Gore St. while under the influence of alcohol. At the time of his arrest Mr. Gauthier was on four different Prohibition Orders preventing him from driving. The accused was also on two release orders prohibiting him from drinking and operating a motor vehicle. Mr. Gauthier will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 Am.

Shoplifters at Walmart

On Sunday December 17th at approx. 2:30 Pm City Police were called to attend at Wal-Mart, 446 Great Northern Rd. in regards to two shoplifters. Upon arrival the officer was informed that one of the accused, a 19-year-old female, assaulted the loss prevention officer and the assistant manager while being arrested. The assaults consisted of pushing, scratching and biting the victims. As the officer attempted to handcuff the accused she resisted the officer and assaulted him by kicking and wrestling with him. She was subsequently placed in the rear of a police car where she then commenced to cause damage to the police vehicle by kicking it. Trisha Trey Robinson, age 19, of 81 August St. is charged with:
1. Robbery
2. Threatening Bodily Harm.
3. Resist Arrest – two counts.
4. Assault Police.
5. Resist Police.
6. Mischief Under $ 5,000.
7. Breach of Probation.

The accused will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 Am.

The second accused, a 14-year-old youth, was charged with Theft Under $ 5,000.00 and will be appearing in court on Tuesday Jan. 30th at 9:30 Am.

Break & Enters Over the Weekend

City Police were called to investigate three Break and Enters over the weekend. A Break-in was reported to a residence in the 200 block of Carlbert St. Thieves stole a quantity of rifles and unknown other items. A residence in the 100 block of East St. was entered – it is unknown at this time what was stolen. The Exstasy Shop located at 268 Bruce St. was broken into early Saturday morning. It is unknown what was taken at this time.
