City police are seeking the public’s assistance with an investigation into an incident involving a bicyclist that occurred on the 17th of May 2010 at approximately 1:50 pm. An adult male cyclist was eastbound on St. Mary’s River Drive, when he lost control of his bike, fell off and struck the pavement. Police are appealing for any witnesses that may have observed this incident to call Cst. David Lapish at 949-6300, Extension 295.

Male Arrested for Break and Enter

39 year-old Ronald Stewart of 11 Clearview Drive was arrested on the 5th of June at 2:50 am at his residence and charged with one count of break, enter and commit, one count of breach of probation and one count of intoxicated in a public place. It is alleged that on the 5th of June at approximately 2:20 am, while in an intoxicated condition, the accused broke into a residence in the 100 block of Church Street and stole a Kodak digital camera. At the time of the offence, the accused was on probation to keep the peace and be good. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Two Domestic Related Arrest for Bail Court Appearance this Morning

A 32 year-old male was arrested on the 5th of June at 1:05 am and charged with one count of assault and one count of unlawfully in a dwelling house. It is alleged that on the 5th of June around 1 am the accused attended the residence of his ex-common law spouse and assaulted her.

A 35 year-old male was arrested on the 5th of June at 3:20 pm at the police station and charged with one count of assault and three counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 5th of June at approximately 12:45 pm the accused attended at a residence where his ex-girlfriend was and assaulted her. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result.

Impaired Driving Arrest

40 year-old Shawn Creedon of #4-188 Church Street was arrested on the 6th of June at 4:40 pm Queen Street and charged with one count of impaired driving. It is alleged that on the 6th of June at 4:30 pm city police received a call regarding an impaired driver in the area of Dennis Street and Wellington Street East. Officers located the vehicle parked in front of a business on Queen Street and at the time, the driver, the accused, was found passed out with the vehicle still running and in an impaired condition. He is to appear in court on the 12th of June.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant

37 year-old Wendell McKay of 454 Parliament Street was arrested on the 7th of June at 4:50 am at the police station after turning himself in on an outstanding warrant. He has been charged with one count of threaten death, one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and one count of breach of probation. He is to appear in court on the 12th of July.

Shoplifting Arrest

19 year-old Derek Boupra of #3-177 Andrew Street was arrested on the 4th of June at 4:40 pm at Canadian Tire and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00 after he allegedly attended at the store and stole some fishing tackle. He is to appear in court on the 5th of July.

Break and Enter and Mischief Reports


• A residence window in the 400 block of Douglas Street was smashed with a rock on the 6th of June around 11:49 pm.
• A hot house in a yard of a residence on Wellington Street West was entered sometime overnight on the 5th of June and several plants were removed and damaged.
• A vehicle parked in the 600 block of Albert Street East had the driver’s side window smashed.
• A rear vehicle window was smashed on McGregor Avenue.
• A mailbox was vandalized on Third Line West.
• An attempt break and enter was reported to a residence on Eastern Avenue.
• An apartment on Wilding Avenue was entered and a television was reported stolen.

Theft Reports

• Bicycle Thefts - a black Raleigh Mountain Bike was stolen from Williams Street, a Nacamura bike was stolen from Moluch Street, an 18 speed CCM was stolen from Grove Crescent, a Frontier Mountain bike was stolen from Timothy Place, a gold CCM Torrent was stolen from St. Georges Avenue.
• Vehicles were entered on Spruce Street and Haviland Crescent. A Garmin GPS was reported stolen.
• A purse was stolen from an apartment on North Street.
