Daniel Teresinski, 22, was arrested yesterday after Sault Police say he demanded money from a victim and sprayed bear mace inside the victim's residence located on First Avenue.
A Sault Ste. Marie Police Service news release states that the accused was later located on Second Line West asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle. Inside the vehicle, officers found an open container of alcohol, a canister of bear mace, and suspected cocaine.
Charges against Teresinski include break and enter, possession of a controlled substance, and impaired driving.

On Aug. 13, 2020, officers with Patrol Services arrested 22-year-old Daniel Teresinski for administering a noxious thing.
It’s alleged the accused attended a residence in the 300 block of First Avenue, demanded money from the victim, sprayed bear mace in the victim’s residence and left the area. The victim contacted police and provided a description of the vehicle the accused was driving. The victim and the accused are known to each other.
Officers located the vehicle in a parking 200 block of Second Line West. The accused was sleeping in the driver’s seat with the vehicle running. Upon speaking with the accused, officers detected a strong smell of alcohol. Officers also observed an open bottle of alcohol and a canister of bear mace on the passenger seat.
He was arrested and a subsequent search of the accused and the vehicle found him to be in possession of a substance believed to be cocaine. He later provided breath samples into an approved device and registered two fail results.
He is charged with administering a noxious thing, break and enter, possession of a controlled substance, impaired driving, impaired driving – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), and being an occupant in a motor vehicle knowing there was a prohibited or restricted weapon.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 21, 2020.
