The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service has plenty planned as police week gets underway on Sunday.
Among the events are presentations at a pair of local high schools, Coffee with a Cop on Sunday and educational patrols throughout the week.

May 15, 2022
- Coffee with a Cop – 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
- Members of Sault Ste. Marie Police Service to serve coffee at Boundary Road and Trunk Road Tim Horton’s.
May 16, 2022
- Positive ticketing – Traffic Services
- Traffic stops to be conducted, with positive ticketing for members of the community adhering to traffic laws, e.g., obeying speed, wearing seatbelts etc.
- High school presentation – Human Resources/Uniform Recruitment
- St. Mary’s College – Noon
- Bike Patrol (weather permitting)
- Downtown from noon to 4 p.m.

- Bicycle Patrol (weather permitting)
- Downtown – noon to 4 p.m.
- High school presentation – Human Resources/Uniform Recruitment
- Superior Heights – 1:15 p.m.
- Police Community Program Night
- Delta – 5:30 p.m. - Evening to celebrate community partnerships and recognize organizations, schools, and citizens for their contribution to public safety
May 18, 2022
- Emergency Services Unit (ESU) – rappelling (weather dependent)
- Quattro Hotel – 10 a.m. to noon – Members of the ESU training to keep rappelling skills sharp.
May 19, 2022
- Bicycle Patrol (weather permitting)
- Downtown – noon to 4 p.m.
- Foot patrol
- Downtown, engaging with local business owners, employees, and citizens
May 20, 2022 – Sharing Information via social media
May 21, 2022 – Sharing Information via social media
