Police have closed an investigation that began on May 19 in the area of Carmen's Way and Albert Street West.
A news release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service states that officers responded to a call regarding possible humans remains in the area at approximately 9 a.m.
A clump of hair was located and the scene was secured to facilitate an investigation.
"The hair was sent to an accredited laboratory to be analyzed," the release states. "Upon analysis it was determined not to be human hair."
