The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service was called to Fourth Line West around 10:20 p.m. last night after receiving a report that one man was seen dragging another male near the Riuniti Hall.

A bystander who drove up to ask about the situation ended up reportedly having his vehicle punched and kicked,

Police located a suspect and Shyne Bourcier, 36, of Fourth Line East was charged with assault causing bodily harm.

The occurrence is believed to have originated from a random meeting of two individuals in the Fourth Line area, Staff Sergeant Steve Train tells SooToday.com.

In an unrelated matter, an adult male was picked up yesterday on an assortment of warrants related a domestic occurrence on December 13. He's due for a video court appearance this morning.

Otherwise, police report a relatively busy night with numerous domestic situations and bar calls and a report of people seen going through vehicles, but few criminal charges laid.
