City police report everything quiet last night and this morning with nothing to report.
WHITE POWDER ON SAULT LETTER
Earlier this week, the Sault's weekly newspaper, The Sault This Week, received a letter from New York and reported to police that there was a "suspicious" powder on it. City Police investigated but were unable to locate or observe any powder on the letter which turned out to be from a legitimate source advising of the up-coming tour of Grand Funk Railroad.
POLICE ALLEGE THREE YOUTHS DAMAGE PROPERTY
Early yesterday morning at 3:10, police were called to McNabb Street to answer a complaint of three men damaging signs near the Elim Pentecostal Church. Police arrested David Shigwadja, age 22, of 700 Pine Street, Robert Cooper, age 20, of 769 Pine Street, and Curtis Lawson, age 19, of 115 Salisbury Street. Each was charged with mischief under $5,000 and being intoxicated in a public place.
