RESIDENTS CAN RETURN HOME - BRUCE STREET OPEN
Bruce Street has now been partially opened to traffic. The southbound lanes have been opened to allow one lane of traffic in each direction.
No gas vapours had been detected at any of the monitoring sites in homes or the sewer system. As a result, families that have remained evacuated since Wednesday have been allowed to return to their homes. Bruce Street had been closed and families evacuated following the Wednesday morning derailment of a tanker car near the Bruce Street crossing.
