Police arrested two people after a search warrant resulted in the seizure of stolen tools, as well as suspected cocaine and methamphetamine from a residence on Third Avenue last Tuesday.

On May 24, 2022, officers with the Crime Suppression Unit, Drug Enforcement Unit and Emergency Services Unit charged 38-year-old Nicholas Fata and 41-year-old Erin Nicholson with possession of a controlled substance and possession of property obtained by crime.
Around 7:30 p.m., officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Third Avenue. Mr. Fata exited the house upon request and Ms. Nicholson was in the residence as officers searched the residence.
A subsequent search of the residence located tools with an estimated value of more than $5,000, several bb guns, approximately 1.4 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine and approximately 17 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine. Further investigation determined the tools, a jackhammer and hammer drill, were reported stolen on March 4, 2022.
The two accused were arrested.
Mr. Fata is charged with:
• Possession of a controlled substance x2
• Possession of property obtained by crime
• Breach of probation x2
Ms. Nicholson is charged with:
• Possession of a controlled substance x2
• Possession of property obtained by crime
Both accused were released on an undertaking and are scheduled to appear in court on July 25, 2022.
