The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is investigating a rash of thefts from vehicles that occurred last night across the north end of the City.

Targetted locations include the Sutherland Group, the Best Western and Algoma's Water Tower Inn.

Timmy's Staffer Charged

An employee of Tim Horton's on Great Northern Road was charged yesterday after a small quantity of money was taken from a coworker's purse. Nicole Russon, 21, is charged with theft under $5,000.
The alleged incident took place on February 8.

Domestic Assault

A 30-year-old man was picked up by police yesterday on a warrant relating to a domestic matter that occurred January 3 near Station Mall.
The man is facing two charges of assault, two charges of threatening to cause death and two counts of probation. He's accused of grabbing his former common-law spouse's neck and kicking at her feet, and of kicking her new boyfriend in the stomach.
He'll make a video court appearance today and a bail hearing is expected to be held for him on Monday morning.
