A 19-year-old has been charged after a crash on Third Line West early Monday morning.

Around 7:10 a.m., a 911 report alerted police to a crash that had happened several hours earlier and went unreported initially.

Police say that an investigation revealed that the accused had driven a vehicle at a high rate of speed and crashed into a transport trailer parked on Third Line West. The passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash.

Police say the accused fled the scene despite major damage to their vehicle and also failed to notify police of the crash.

Officers found the accused at their residence, where the individual was arrested.

As a result of the investigation, Isaac Guerriero has been charged with:

  • dangerous operation causing bodily harm
  • fail to remain (under the Highway Traffic Act)

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 13, 2025.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
