Officers from Investigation Services are following up on a robbery that occurred last night at a home in the 100 block of Second Line West. Just after 10 pm last night City Police received the complaint from a male occupant of the residence. It is alleged that two males entered the home, brandished a weapon and fled the home. The victim required medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries. The two male suspects are described as follows:

1) One male was 5’10” tall, 180-190 lbs, wearing a black
mask.

2) Second male was wearing a two toned colored mask, was
5’5” tall and had a stocky build.

29-Yr Old Arrested For Breaching Release Order

A 29-year old male, who is currently residing at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre, was arrested last evening and charged with 2 counts of breach of a release order. It is alleged that on 2 dates in March and on the 4th of April the accused made phone calls to family members of his ex-girlfriend while on conditions prohibiting him from doing so.

Assault Causing Bodily Harm

A 30-year old male was arrested last evening and charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm and 4 counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on 1st of April the accused got into an argument with his ex-girlfriend and allegedly pushed her causing her to fall backwards and hit her head on a curb. The victim required medical treatment for non-life threatening injures. At the time of the offence the accused was on 2 probation orders with terms not to communicate with the victim, not to molest, harass or annoy the victim as well as to keep the peace and be good.

33-Yr Old Male Charged With 2 Counts Of Assault

A 33-year old male was arrested last evening and charged with two counts of assault. It is alleged that earlier in the day the accused got into an argument with his girlfriend at her centrally located address. It is alleged that the male pushed the victim who fell and struck the back of her head on the floor. It is further alleged that the accused scratched the victim in the face. The victim required medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Break And Enter Arrest

24-year old Wesley Hallam of 310-721 Pine Street was arrested just before 1:30 am this morning and charged with one count of break and enter with intent, one count of mischief under $5,000, two counts of breach of a conditional order and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused was inside a building in the 200 block of Northern Avenue in an intoxicated state and broke 4 windows in the building. It is further alleged that the accused also smashed the front glass window of an entry door, which had been locked. At the time of the offence the accused was on a conditional sentence order with conditions not to consume alcohol and to be inside his residence expect for purposes of employment. The accused was also on probation with terms to keep the peace and be good.

19-Yr Old Charged For Assaulting Girlfriend

A 19-year old male was arrested last evening and charged with two counts of assault. It is alleged that yesterday morning the accused slapped his girlfriend in the face twice, with his hat. During the course of the investigation the victim advised officers that between the end of February and the beginning of March the accused allegedly slapped the victim in the face and also a threw her on the bed and grabbed both of her arms. The victim received non-life threatening injuries in the earlier February-March incident but did not require medical treatment. Both incidents occurred in the accused’s centrally located address.

3-D Animals Kidnapped From Archery Club

Sometime over the winter persons broke into the Soo North Archery Club located on Landslide Road and stole several 3D animals including an antelope, a turkey and a deer. All of the animals have Soo North stenciled on them. The incident was reported yesterday. If you happen to know where these targets are contact City Police or Crime Stoppers.

Break And Enter

Yesterday a break and enter was reported to Urso Surveyors located at 298 Queen Street East. The incident occurred between April 4th and 5th between 6 pm and 8:30 am. It is unknown at this time if anything was taken.
