Three persons to appear in bail court: 1) The Sault Ste Marie Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating witnesses to a crime that occurred at the Cambrian Mall at approx. 5:00 pm yesterday afternoon.
Three persons to appear in bail court:

1) The Sault Ste Marie Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating witnesses to a crime that occurred at the Cambrian Mall at approx. 5:00 pm yesterday afternoon. Yesterday afternoon city police received a complaint from a female that two males approached her, while she was in her vehicle at the Cambrian Mall, and demanded money from her. It is alleged that one of the suspects demanding the money was holding a knife at the time. The two Anishinabek male suspects involved are described as:

1. Male mid to late 20’s, 6’ tall, long black hair in pony tails. Wearing a white hoodie, cut-off jeans and a blue bandana.
2. Male, mid 30’s, 5’7” – 5’ 9” tall, med build, dark hair. Wearing a black hoodie and light coloured shorts.


Yesterday morning, at approx. 10:30 am city police located and arrested one of the two males wanted in connection with the above mentioned robbery. Charged with one count of robbery is Kerry Mearow, age 33, of 626 Queen St. W. Apt # 3.

2) Yesterday afternoon city police were called to an east end address regarding an intoxicated female. It is alleged that the accused, Kathleen Henderson, age 48, of no fixed address, was under the influence of alcohol and that she damaged a door at that address. At the time of this offence the accused was on a recognizance release order with conditions to abstain from consuming alcohol. Ms. Henderson is charged with one count of mischief under $ 5,000 and one count of breach of a recognizance.

3) Early this morning city police were called to a west end address regarding a domestic dispute. It is alleged that the accused, a 55-year-old female, assaulted her boyfriend with a weapon (a telephone). It is further alleged that the accused failed to appear for the purpose of identification, on July 28th 2009. The accused is charged with one count of failing to appear for identification and one count of assault with a weapon. The victim did not require medical attention.

Property Crimes:

Break and enter:

A residence in the 200 block of Gloucester St. was entered yesterday. A quantity of electonical items were stolen.

Mischief:
A residence in the 1300 block of Old Goulais Bay Rd was damaged.

Thefts:
Personal papers were stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Edmonds Ave.
Clothing items were stolen from a hotel room in the 300 block of Great Northern Rd.
A van was entered on Wallace Terr. – It is unknown at this time what was taken.
A lap top computer was stolen from a store in the 300 block of Great Northern Rd.
