Male Charged with Breach of Release Document It is alleged that last night around 11:30 pm a 42-year old male attended at his ex-wife’s place of employment in the downtown area.

Male Charged with Breach of Release Document

It is alleged that last night around 11:30 pm a 42-year old male attended at his ex-wife’s place of employment in the downtown area. The accused had been released on the 14th of February with conditions to stay away from the victim’s place of employment. The male was arrested shortly before 3 am this morning and has been charged with one count of breach of a release document

Breach of Release Order Charges Laid

It is alleged that last evening shortly after 7 pm a 42-year old male invited his girlfriend over to his downtown apartment while on conditions not to communicate with her. The accused was also on probation with terms not to molest, harass or annoy the female, as well as to keep the peace and be good. The two ended up having an argument and the police were called. The male has been charged with two counts of breach of probation and one count of breach of a release order.

Male on Probation Charged

A 21-year old male was arrested last evening around 10 pm, after it was alleged that he was with his girlfriend while on release documents not to be with her. The accused was also on probation with terms to keep the peace and be good. The male has been charged with one count of breach of probation and one count of breach of a release document.

2 Counts of Threatening to Cause Death Laid

A 23-year old male was arrested last night after it was alleged that he threatened to harm his ex-girlfriend on 2 occasions; one being January 29th and the other being February 15th. At the time of the threats the male was on release documents not to communicate with the victim. When arrested last night the male had a different address other than those on a release document as well as a probation order, both having terms to notify change of address, which the accused failed to do. The male has been charged with 2 counts of threatening to cause death or bodily harm, 3 counts of breach of a release document and one count of breach of probation.

2 Youths Charged

Yesterday afternoon just before 4 pm, two youths attempted to rob ticket sellers at Rome’s. It is alleged at that one of the youths entered the store, walked around where the seller was and then left. This youth then re-attended in the store and threatened the seller with a knife. The would- be- robber was scared off when another person in the area left to call the police and notify security. The robbery left empty handed and no one was hurt. Officers, with the assistance of witnesses and store security staff, were able to ascertain that the robber had an accomplice. It is alleged that this second youth gave the would be robber a change of clothes to put over theirs to go into the store with and then after the thwarted robbery, took the clothes back and put them in a duffle bag in the hopes of confusing police and security with the change of the clothing description. City Police arrested the youths shortly after the incident. The first youth, age 15 has been charged with one count of attempt robbery and one count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm. The second youth, also age 15, has been charged with one count of accessory after the fact and one count of party to the offence of attempt robbery. Both youths will appear in court on March 29th.

Yesterday Release:

Yesterday during the daytime hours a home in the 100 block of Wellington Street West was entered and thieves made off with computer items, jewellery and a couple of Game Boy’s. If you know who is responsible for this break and enter or any others, call Crime Stoppers at 942-7867.

Update:

Last evening City Police arrested a 16-year old youth in relation to the above break and enter. The youth has been charged with one count of break and enter and commit an offence. The youth will appear in court on March 29th.
