Male Youth Arrested for Failing to Appear for Fingerprints
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 14 year-old male youth on the 16th of February at 3:55 pm at the police station and charged him with one count of fail to appear for fingerprints. It is alleged that the youth failed to appear for prints on the 7th of February. He is to appear in court on the 22nd of March.

Motor Vehicle Collision with Injuries on Wellington Street West at Conmee Avenue
On the 16th of February at 11:21 am the Sault Ste Marie Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision with injuries at the intersection of Wellington Street West and Conmee Avenue. It is alleged that a Pontiac vehicle that had been northbound on Wellington Street West, stopped for the red light at the intersection of Conmee Avenue when it was struck from behind by a northbound GMC pickup truck.

Both drivers were transported to hospital by EMS for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the GMC pickup, 54 year-old Peter Mattalo of 55 Johnson Avenue was charged with one count of Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act. Both vehciles were extensively damaged.
