Impaired Driving Arrest On the 26th of January at approximately 1:51 pm the Sault Ste Marie Police Service received information regarding a possible impaired driver on Great Northern Road near Industrial Park Crescent.
Impaired Driving Arrest
On the 26th of January at approximately 1:51 pm the Sault Ste Marie Police Service received information regarding a possible impaired driver on Great Northern Road near Industrial Park Crescent. It is alleged that when officers stopped the vehicle on Highway 17 North, just north of the Trading post they checked the driver and found him to be under the influence of alcohol. The accused was given the roadside breathalyzer screening device test and registered a fail. The accused was arrested and transported to the station. Charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit is 55 year-old Stephen Foster of 112 HWY 552 W, Goulais River Ontario. He is to appear in court on the 28th of February.

Male Arrested for Threatening
Officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 35 yer-old Lloyd Tremblay of #1-348 Cathcart Street at 10:45 am yesterday and charged him with one count of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 26th of January the accused threatened to harm one of his neighbours. He is to appear in court on the 28th of February.

Male Shoplifter Arrested
Officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 44 year-old Drake Blythe of #20-304 Albert Street West at 9:39 pm last night at Sears in the Station Mall and charged him with one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that on the evening of the 26th of January the accused attended at the store and stole two bottles of cologne. He is to appear in court on the 28th of February.

Female Arrested on Outstanding Warrant
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 26 year-old Ruby Grisdale at the police station yesterday afternoon on an outstanding warrant and charged her with one count of fail to appear court from the 29th of November for a shoplifting related charge. She is now to attend in court on the 28th of February.

Break and Enter Reports
• Three churches were reported into broken overnight Tuesday to Wednesday morning. One in the west end and two in the east end. Items stolen included: laptops, one HP, the other a Toshiba, a Yamaha digital keyboard, a CD player and a fire extinguisher.
• An attempt break and enter was reported to a business on Northland Road.
• A residence on Ferguson Avenue was entered overnight on the 26th of January. A 40 inch television was stolen.

Mischief Report
A bus shelter was damaged in the 200 block of McNabb Street on the evening of the 26th of January.
