Theft From Vehicles

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is continuing to receive reports of thefts of property from vehicles in various locations around town. In several of these incidents items being taken are high-end items or items of value such as lap top computers and cameras. Several persons have also reported having their wallets and contents stolen from the vehicle. The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would like to remind citizens not to leave items of value in their vehicles. If you must leave items place them in your trunk where they are not visible to would be thieves. Many of these culprits are “window shopping” and if something catches their eye, they will take it. Also if you do see persons attempting to enter vehicles or loitering around parked cars, call the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. We will send an officer over to investigate.
