On July 2, 2014, detectives from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested and charged a 15-year-old male for invitation to sexual touching and sexual interference. The charges stem from a dated incident involving an 11-year-old male victim that was known to accused. The accused is scheduled to attend court on August 12, 2014.
On July 2, 2014 at 12:50 p.m., 47-year-old Steven Ostroski of Ajax, ON turned himself into police in regards to an outstanding warrant for fail to attend court. Steven Ostroski had failed to attend court on April 26, 2010 on charges of operating a motor vehicle with more than 8o mgs of alcohol in his blood after failing a roadside screening device. Steven Ostroski is scheduled to attend court August 11, 2014.
On July 2, 2014 the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service received a report of an attempt Break and Enter in the area of Shannon road at Trunk road. Sometime in the previous 2 days unknown person(s) broke a window to the residence and removed the screen, but did not gain entry.
On July 2, 2014, a female attended her ex-husband’s place of work. It is alleged that she began a conversation with him. She was on a previous court order not to attend the man’s place of work, not to communicate with him, not to harass him and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The man complained and as a result, the woman is facing 4 counts of breach of probation. The order was domestic related. She will be appearing in bail court on July 3, 2014 at 10 a.m.
